    Default Building images

From time to time, I googled for images that could be used for all the new buildings we want to include into RS2, or to replace existent ones we don't like. So I'll just post them all into this thread. However, someone would have to enlarge/shrink them, cut out eventual bits of text on them etc.

the problem with these is that they lack consistency, somewhat...

Well, we can of course use the old vanilla ones again and again. That would be very consistent, but it would suck regardless. I know these are not the best stuff in earth, but I think it's better than what we have right now: nothing.

The other thing you could do would be to cartoonise or oilify or something just a bit to make them all more consistent. The only image there we can't use would be the Osprey one - 2nd image (at least it looks like Osprey to me)

I'm afraid I don't even know who that Osprey is, so it's not like I'm in a position to recognize his work. And I don't know how to modify images either. I just gathered some material that looked good to me and posted it here, in case it could be used.

2nd image is definitely the Osprey one.

I'm sure Tzar will be able to do something with them. I agree first of all that something is better than 'nothing'...in fact, if nothing else were produced I would endeavor to use these, since they are at least better than the Vanilla duplicates we have all over the place. As far as consistency.....yeah, I'd like consistency, but the smaller building icons are the ones that get seen the most, so the bigger pictures don't 'necessarily' have to be consistent. Thanks Sloth.

OK, I removed the Osprey picture. Also, if anyone else has some stuff that looks good, feel free to post it here.

    Celtic skull shrine:

These are OK: from the fronts of boxes of Italeri soldiers and widely shown on the internet:

Not quite sure exactly what sort of things you're after.

Maybe try reenactment groups - "Celtic reenactment" in google or similar for Romans or whatever.

You can always get frames from movies. Not "exactly" legal i guess, but since were not profiting from the mod then it should be ok. EB uses images from Alexander for example (Gates of Babylon, the mosaic in their ptolemaic UI etc).

I do not really care about consistency as much as some but I am for the extermination of vanilla primarily. I hope some of the stuff here can be used. Maybe if theres a problem finding enough pics, perhaps adding I, II, III, IV, etc... to the picture can be used to determine the level?

Sure, go ahead. It's probably better to have it all in one place anyway.
