This is definately a must buy for me.

Some games do need multiplayer, like most shooters, but not Assassin's Creed. Although it would be interesting, it should not be top priority by any means.

EDIT: I bet Desmond returns, along with all the modern characters, but I doubt (unfortunately) that Altiar will return.

EDIT EDIT: Looky what I found.

    Q. Why only the one power?
    A. Be patient! Assassin's Creed is the first part of a trilogy. By the end of the third game Desmond will have a lot more moves to play with...

Did you play PC or console? Because they added new missions to make it less repetitive on the PC. I can't see why you'd hate it, as it has great gameplay.

Assassin's Creed 2 set in Renaissance Venice??? And you would also surely explore other Italian cities.....WOW that's too cool, hope that it would be possible to go here in Rome too!

I didnt name Oblivion because its a bit less recent, I figure it best to name some recent titles that did well.

Otherwise I wouldnt forget Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic (game of the year 2003), Oblivion, Morrowind, The Witcher, The Movies, The sims 2 and many others.

And lets not forget the many games that have multiplayer but are bought mainly for singleplayer such as the GTA, Total War and Saint's Row series. I have games of them all and hate playing online with all of them. Too much immature players.

The only multiplayer I care about is offline, with friends next to me that I can punch I can punch if they are doing something lame. Thats a lot better than a childish giggling and swearing when they beat you and childish screaming and swearing when you beat them.

Totally agreed there man. I don't understand why online is so popular when local is 1000x more fun. Now companies are even taking off local multiplayer because online has become so popular.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. I really liked the first.

Default New details Assassin's Creed 2

The main character's name will be Ezio Auditore de Firenze, a young nobleman who lost his family because of treason committed by other noble families. The game will indeed take place during the Renaissance in Venice.

Ezio will have a new range of weapons and won't be drowning anymore.
Other than that you'll meet characters like Machiavelli, Caterina Sforza, Lorenzo de Medici and there will be day and night missions and 16 unique types of missions
Another rumor is that he will make use of Da Vinci's wings to fly for a brief period of time.

    Altair is also dead.
That Desmond would have 2 ancestors named Altair is unlikely especially if one of them is a italian.

Still a interesting character with vengance behind him.
Hopefully the story will use this.

He's still related to Altair and whats his face... I think every game will have like the same voice/facial appearance.

    Link please.

btw the wrist blades are supposed to be inserted right into the forearm, as opposed to simply attached to the arm. Urgh. At least that's what's been speculated from the teaser.
