So cause these guys aren't the REAL IRA what should we call them? The actual IRA? IRA classic? The Good IRA? The oldie IRA? Or we could stop calling these modern phonies the IRA. We can call them what they are; GOBSHITES.

Gobshites along with their loyalist drug dealing counterparts. Ireland will be one only through peace and co operation. My great grandfather was a member of the old IRA at the age of 17.

On the subject of murderous gobshites, did you happen to see the beeb drama about peace & reconciliation after the troubles? Five Minutes of Heaven, it was called.

Basic premise was a fictional (but commonplace) UVF murder of a, pretty much, random Catholic. And then the UVF killer, and the victim's brother having a peace and reconciliation meeting years later, and how they both react to this. Was brilliant.

I remember seeing that. The UVF drove around Catholic neighbourhoods and killed random people.

And the Provos drove around and killed random protestants, isnt religion wonderful?

Actually, believe it or not the IRA generally( not always) aimed at military or political targets. Generally the UDA and UVF aimed at randomners

That would make sense in a twisted sort of way I guess.

Is this really something to do with the arts? And anyway both sides killed civilians there's no "they mostly targeted this" thing they were both as bad as each other.

Edit: I don't want to get into an arguement here.
