Yeah it does, didn't know that it snowed in Afghanistan
i dont understand why anyone would live in such a wasteland of a country
well there still in control unfortunately - very tough people - hard to convince fanatics that they have to change their ways - especially when you tell them that women have equal rights as them
Not particually the war was started on a lie, so doesnt change it for me though i do feel sorry for the children, being born in the armpit of the world, but thats life.

Where else is there to go? Some random island in the Pacific Ocean?
It isn't connected to Saddam. The official reason they invaded Afghanistan was to remove the al-qaeda threat there and the Taliban who aided the al-qaeda.
I'm sure some conspiracy nuts somewhere have tried to link it to Saddam, though.
It would of been worse if the Taliban where still in control of that country.
Too bad the Northern Alliance are just as bad as the Taliban.......
You live in Texas, your name is George W Bush, you sound just like Mr. Bush - I guess the TWC forum should be honored in having a former US president joining the debate.Of course the war was and is not a lie. Terrorists struck America that fateful day, September 11, 2001... we acted in retaliation against their heavy injustice and mass destruction done that day to America and its citizens. This war has a lot going for it, America already has enough of a reason to take action against terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
I'll make it simple: we're the side that's right. They are not, most certainly not. I don't see a reason why we should stop attempting to track down Osama Bin Laden in particular, the mastermind (or masternobrain more like it) behind the September 11 attacks. This war is for a just cause. We cannot just forget the 9/11 and related incidents...
Bill, I'm not sure if you think I'm some sort of space alien or not, but I live in America, Texas if you want to be specific.
BTW Do you know which name Dick Cheney uses, he always was the smart guy so I guess he is not using his real name.
The afghan war in 2001 was born from the iraq war, and the iraq war was born from the lie that saddam hussein was connected to al queda and that he was supplying them with weapons, thus both wars are born of the one lie, therefore i do not support either war, Also he lied about osama bin laden being connected too, the fbi nor cia even found evidence at all to support this claim.
Though i did at first out of extreme hatred at being pissed at the supposed hijackers "Al Queda" But then i found out it was us who funded and trained them at our military bases, you didnt tell us that did you bush ol pal, maybe you forgot to tell us the hijackers wasnt even from iraq or afghanistan in the first place, slipped ya mind did it ?...i bet it did.

Ive shown you that video, bush connected 9/11 with iraq by saying that al queda was protected and funded by saddam hussein, he would of given him one of his 'many' weapons if we dont stop him, and it was a lie, so it was started by his lie.
He even said a few years later he never even said none of those things, its laughable.
Infact, even wikipedia supports me on this, and thats usually edited to ground out the truth.
Reasons for war :
1 . Iraq's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) posed an imminent threat to their security and that of their coalition allies.[
Though United Nations weapons inspectors found no evidence of WMD, giving support to earlier criticism of poor intelligence on the subject. After the invasion, the U.S.-led Iraq Survey Group concluded that Iraq had ended its WMD programs in 1991 and had no active programs at the time of the invasion
2. Some U.S. officials also accused Saddam Hussein of harboring and supporting Al-Qaeda,[58] but no evidence of any collaborative relationship was ever found
3. An effort on the part of the coalition forces to spread democracy in the country and region. << LOL yeah... were not even a democracy.
There you go, both was a lie. He didnt produce no evidence whatsoever of these claims, he just directed the publics hate at the middle east and there you go, and the democracy claim is pure BS, or we would spread it to every other non democratic country in the world.

No the afghanistan war was started in light of the iraq war, to capture osama bin laden, even though no evidence was brought forward that he was in afghanistan, or that he was connected to 9/11, and to wipe out the taliban for giving support to al queda, even though this also no evidence was produced.
The afghan war was contrived from the iraq war, and the iraq war was contrived from a lie.
