Wait wait wait wait, the war in Afghanistan began in 2001 but the war in Iraq began in 2003, so how could it be connected to Saddam?

It isn't connected to Saddam. The official reason they invaded Afghanistan was to remove the al-qaeda threat there and the Taliban who aided the al-qaeda.

I'm sure some conspiracy nuts somewhere have tried to link it to Saddam, though.

The Taliban and Al Qaeda have only made Afghanistan worse. It is the responsibility of ours to introduce democracy to these kind folks, as well as root out terrorist cells.

Of course the war was and is not a lie. Terrorists struck America that fateful day, September 11, 2001... we acted in retaliation against their heavy injustice and mass destruction done that day to America and its citizens. This war has a lot going for it, America already has enough of a reason to take action against terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

I'll make it simple: we're the side that's right. They are not, most certainly not. I don't see a reason why we should stop attempting to track down Osama Bin Laden in particular, the mastermind (or masternobrain more like it) behind the September 11 attacks. This war is for a just cause. We cannot just forget the 9/11 and related incidents...

I always thought Afghanistan was first as that was where Bin Laden was hiding and the CIA had tried to assassinate him days/weeks? b4 9/11
