Faction Colour has not changed on mod??

Ok, simple question for someone out there?

I am using Photoshop 7 and have changed my US dragoons to a more historical "green" jacket but when i save and go in game i see the trim has only changed to green and not the whole jacket as it still appears in "Navy"??
Why is this? and how do i resolve this issue thank you in advance.

Have you changed the gloss map? It needs to be set to blank (ie, transparent) in order for any edited colours to show up.

Otherwise, it'll still paint the faction colour on top of the skin.
