    Default Random string of events

Whenever i am playing on the campaign map if I press ALT, CTRL, or ESC or any of the F1-F12 keys, my game will sometimes open up the Hotkey map, the cheat console, mute the sound, toggle off the settlement names and toggle on the character names, and also reload the most recent autosave. It does this at random when i press any of these buttons such as using CTRL to select units in a city or pressing ESC to save or load the game. Any advice would be much appreciated (SP). Oh yea and iam using vanilla MTW2 v 1.0

There is a full list of hotkeys for both the campaign and battle maps under the options loading screen. Usually if you press it twice it will go back. You just happen to find them by chance. The savegames will save them, also.

So I just have to de-activate the hotkeys? I dont have time to press the key twice because once this all starts it doesn't let me do anything before it reloads my last autosave.

That's why I use my mouse and not hotkeys. Don't want the trouble, don't use them.

So there is no way for me to fix this? All I can do is not press any buttons on my keyboard and hope for the best? I also found out it does during battles to, it opens up the cheat console and mutes the sound.

The only way is to reprogram the .exe. The instructions are buried in it. Since that is against the rules, you'll have to live it this way just like the rest of us.
