Default Poland-Lithuania, Austria, or Sweden in GC?

Hi, i'm getting a bit bored of the Ottomans (:O), and i feel like making a new campaign. I'm thinking either Poland, Austria, or Sweden. Which do you prefer, and for what reasons?
PLEASE do not just give 1-word answers.

    Thanks!

I started Austria because I believe they have those windbushe jaegers. Of course they are very late period infantry but I think they'll be sweet.

Austria is one of the factions with a larger roster compared to the others.

PLC only get winged hussars and sweden hakkapelita (sp?) as their uniques.

Personally I'd go with Austria, second choice would be PLC cos the winged hussars are cool, and third Sweden (I like the faction colours =D)

I've played Austria,Prussia,Poland,Marathas,Mysore and Russia. I like Austria best on Imperial Splendour mod at h/m. Prussia and venice declare war pretty quick.Fighting on two fronts.Capture Brandenburg and Venice but then Venice blockades with a fairly large fleet. Great campaign.

Austria is probably the hardest of the three.

I've played Prussia, France, and Russia, and think I'll move onto Austria next -- so I recommend them!

I would say Austria as it is most central. Due to lack of naval invasions land focus factions would play out better.

The easy part with Sweden is their natural location to water. If you conquer Denmark (they have two ports) and Norway you have easy access to those trade zones. Austria only has one port to start with and you have to dodge those Barbary galleys (shakes fist) to get out of the Med.

Might make the same argument for PLU but I have not played them yet.

I have played Spain and Poland, and can recommend the latter as challenging and fun. Despite late naval start you get, land trade is powerful. Also, there is always pirate trade zones you can capture without risking war.

    Austria.

Sweden was boring just because they have like no unique units. I think that really impacts the enjoyment of the game.

Poland is ok but I think Austria is more of a challenge.

I like Sweden because they start off with their backs covered. I also like the continuous tension with Russia, and Poland if you get across the Baltic. In my campaign, I took out Prussia asap and then I took W.Prussia from Poland (I also took out Warsaw but gave it back for peace since it was too costly to keep from revbelling). I also took out Denmark (I left them in Iceland, but eventually took that as a good naval base). I made Hannover and Westphalia protectorates and took Saxony before Austria declared them proectorates. (This is on VH?H campaign). Anyway, it was pretty sweet since I had ALL the regions that coast the Baltic so almost all the European nations depended on me for sea trade. I then invaded Russia once I had enough cash. Austria was my ally. Strange combo I know, but it worked.

Prussia is good. For your first move take the city below Berlin first and you'll be in war with Poland-Lithuania (allied with Saxony) too. Then you can connect your lands by taking Gdansk. If you declare war against Poland-Lithuania first, you'll be in war with too many countries because of the alliances. It might be a problem, if you play VH/VH like me.

I started playing Austria, and I really liked it. As Jihada said, Venice and Poland declared war on me pretty quick (right after i paid like 7000 to get them to friendly, make peace with them and establish trade >.>). It's a lot of fun, because i really love land battles, and plenty of fighting all over, plus i can just march onto Denmark if i need any easy land or ports ^^

Sweden, but just because I'm illogically biased against Poland (way too nationalistic) and Austria (reason is obvious).

sweden can be fun but once you control scandanavia and denmark it can get a little boring. to make it exciting again i sailed an expedition army to the americas and then they got defeated by inuits....
