    Default Steam says I need the latest version of DirectX

    When I try to start Empire Steam says I need the latest version of DirectX, which I have according to dxdiag. I try downloading DirectX but then it says "internal error" (swedish: internt fel). I have Vista and DirectX 10. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
