Crash!

I have heard a lot of people are xperiencing crashes playing empire total war. One thing that happens to me is, while a battle is loading it just blanks and then it says insufficient video memory. When I progress through a campaign as well it seems the graphics settings get worse. I can play the game perfectly on top settings but it seems as my nation expands the settings lower autonmatically. Also sometimes when i am in battle the field has a yellow grid like system across it, it is very annoying watching your men reunning agross an illuminous grid system.

has anyone experienced any of these things??

Have you tried updating your drivers? If you haven't give that a try, because It can always make a difference to the wierd grafic glitches.
