    Default Building textures?

    I don't have a very powerful rig so I run the game at Medium-High settings. The game look good enough for me...

    UNTIL I SAW THE BUILDINGS. Oh my god. From the outside they look ok, but when my men garrisoned one without a roof and the top level looked like absolute crap.

    The walls look like cat puke too, I turned the Building and Texture settings to Ultra, and it still, to my dismay, look like absolute garbage. I don't even want to siege anymore.

    Even R:TW had better looking buildings. Now I'm very disturbed by the fact that buildings look like children's doodling.

    I was a serious fanboy of the game. And now this. I never thought I would have to create a thread to rant about it.

    Considering my favorite game ever looked like this, I'm not so annoyed. This would be like 200th on my list of things I'd like to see changed.

    Sure, like;

    * Working naval invasions
    * Diplomacy that makes as much sense as say, Imperial Glory. EUIII is reaching too high for this game, I think.
    * Reinforcments that appear relative to their position on the campaign map
    etc

    But Red Baron (1990) is one of the best games ever, and that is not up for debate

    Agreed. I would take less graphics if only these few things worked as intended.

    Never played Red Baron, but I do like my flight sims and do have Flanders Field for CFS3.

    One of my favorite games from around then was called Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe by LucasArts. I had way more fun playing that than I am playing Empire. I spent more time playing that game than studying for college examshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQbFxVpfExA

    The building graphics from ETW pictures (Pre-Release) Looked like the selling point for the game for me. Unfortunately the buildings are now absolute crap.

    Most likely it is a graphics card issue. Check forlonhop3's sticky in the Tech Help forum for help on the graphics settings. Closed, PM me if you have any questions.
