    Default so wield heroic win

I play as Sweden and my one light galley with only 4 canons was engaged by a sloop of Denmark. I fired twice and none hit the sloop while my galley lost 2 canons under the fire by Denmark. Just when I decide to click the "white flag" button to escape from the battlefield, there comes the miracle! The sloop is sinking!!! How weird~~~ Then a message pops up with enemy general dead. Heroic victory!Oh my god! Use the NBA slogan: "Where amazing happens!" and "I love this game!"

I uploaded the sea battle video and maybe you can tell me how I won this battle.....

Nice one! If you were playing on vanilla, check out the firepower of galleys, their incredibly high. Thats probably the reason. Historically, the galleys did mount very heavy guns, but unless one by a miracle hit the magazine (which happens way too much in ETW), you would lose every time to a sloop, so in that sense its completely bogus. Pretty funny nonetheless.

yes, i am playing vanilla and just checked the firepower of galley--above 200, that's huge.
I reviewed the video and find there were two shots hit the sloop during my second fire. However the sloop did not lost one man or one canon and the hull circle is still green. Did the shot blow a big hole which lead to sinking? That battle inspired me, maybe in the coming big battles I can use galley stack to exchange enemy's stacks of big ships, which is really cheap and the maitenance cost is very low.

I reckon full stacked galley can't win of half stacked 3rd and 2nd rates. Let alone heavy first rates.

The big punch galleys have, combined with their low profile means that their shots have a tendency of hitting at or just below the water line. They're rather a gamble though. A bit of luck and they'll take out ships of the line, bad luck and they'll pop at the first broadside.
