First of all, ima long time TW player mostly single player. Heard all the beefs against ETW and totally agree w/ everything negative against the AI and single player camps. But... just played my first few games online and holy cow what a difference; I have a good machine so I haven't gone thru the various crashes for the most part, the few games I've played online have all been very competitive and super fun.
But the second one I played just irks me to end...
This was a 'tryout' by JGK clan, who I'm guessing isn't really all o that because how they judged the results of their tryouts (seriously you guys made me laugh). Basically I made the mistake of playing it like a real battle and sent all my cavalry to assist the rest of my allied army, helped them in their efforts to my detriment, and eventually after a long pursuit while my 'jury' sat on the sidelines watching me died a prolongued death.
So after all of this my 'jury' tells me I'm not good enough to pass their mediocre test while the other two guys are (both of whom I had assisted w/ my cav and got no help in return). They have the nerve to tell me I let my flank get turned and thus am unworthy. What passes for talent in this game? Unlike all the ranters against this game, I think it plays AWESOME H2H on my machine, at least.
My point is nothing but to point out JGK as a stupid clan who has no clear idea of what makes a good player. I look forward to pnwing u fools with whoever I end up playing with.
