like the title says i am currently making marines mod and i would like to use a 1812 us marine skin but cant seem to find one....any links guys?
I was looking around for some mod that messed around the diplomacy. Does one exist? I didn't see any, sorry if I missed one. If I, for example, take England, I think the UK might want to stop warring with me.
Welcome, mvm900. Since you're asking for a mod recommendation, I have replied on the mod recommendations thread, here.
You could try my More reasonable diplomacy mod, here. Alternatively, I suspect that many of the hosted mods offer improved diplomacy as part of better campaign AI, either as part of the main mod or as a sub-mod.
So i reinstalled the game today and now i remember that the vanilla is dull and boring
So the 2 big mods that i want to play is Imperial destroyer and darthmod
saddly i can play only 1 thanks to the lack of a good mod browser with each folder for a mod
So i need to know which mod is much better for me
Here the list of things i look for:
Very High historical accuracy
An awesome campaign and things never seen in other mod (i know that imperial mod have new regions and that's why i like it)
Realism
Polished stuff
Knowing it will not crush suddenly
and more that kind of things
anyone??
neither is historical with regards to their overpowered artillery,
ID got unlimited ammo while historically a soldier was given 5-30 rounds prior to battle,
ID got it right when they nerfed money, just trade should give more while inland regions give less,
ID also got it right when they nerfed movement points, just cavalry should have more
all mods based on a hybrid can be expected to crash on occasion,
it'd be great if some modder was able to implement "friction" & attrition in hostile territory,
and kudos to ID team that managed to implement new regions,
i hope they make a stand alone mod with the new regions & factions when the rest being vanilla

My 6 2nd rates routed in horror from 1 brig + 1 5th rate on auto-resolve....
IS (Imperial Splendour) with my battle mechanic resolves some historical inaccuracy.
Also Empire Realism by JaM is highly praised for being accurate as well.
I do not know what you mean by "friction" but attrition does exist. WALI
It was a developed by a Russian development team. ID is the only one on TWC that implemented it.
friction is used as a reference to Clausewitz, in ETW it would materialize as lower movement points in hostile territory
My 6 2nd rates routed in horror from 1 brig + 1 5th rate on auto-resolve....
While not perfect, both could be implemented through maintenance and replacement costs. While in hostile territory, both are doubled.
Does Darthmod fix the bug where the Mahratta Confederacy (or other factions) spam armies near Constantinople and lag the game on their turn to the point of the game freezing on their turn?
If the AI controls Constantinople, then there will always be a lag of some kind. The AI has a hard time moving units in out because it has to enter city where it cannot have more than 20 units present. There are things that have been done to reduce it, but completely eliminate it.
Thanks for the response. It's dissapointing that there is no 100% fix for it. It's such a dealbreaker for me. The no1 reaons why I never finish ETW and never play it.
Can anybody make a Mod (for the Mac). Making the Various East India Companies as playable factions as protectorates of their Parent Countries. The Important ones like Dutch East India Company, French East India Company, British East India Company, Portuguese East India Company. I would think It would be extremely fun to play as these faction... Just a suggestion
There is something I believe that can fix it. This involves moving the location of the city itself. This would mean an historically inaccurate location. It is a radical solution for something that I personally been able to reduce without having to do this.
Empire has a lot of problems. CA clearly bit off more they can chew. Despite the drawbacks, it is still a nice game to play especially if you enjoy the time period.
Yes, I adore Empire but it's all a moot point when I can never finish a game. I suppose I could try conquering Constantinople in the mid game every game.
I do not believe you can change bridges or roads, but to be honest, I never researched it. That would be an interesting alternative if possible.
