Ok I might get a mod I may not as I still use vanilla to play online still and it's abit hard to understand the instructions on installation sometimes
I understand that IS2 is considered a more appropriate mod for beginners and those who haven't played a lot of actual campaigns, but can already tell that they need a little something more than vanilla to tame the beasts of their illicit lustful desires for velvety, sensual CONQUEST.
er... that may have gotten away on me a bit...
But IS2 is good for getting your feet wet and might be enough for a good while. ETW isn't exactly an ADD type of game. People do tend to put some serious hours into it, so it's no cryin' shame if someone wants to spend 6 months or a year with one mod before moving to another. Or switch back. Or whatever. Just so long as there's delicious creamy, velvety.... well I think I can stop there...
This is a funny opinion. The first MOD I used was DMUC. Its comprehensive with lots of changes with allows for some personal choices on what you want or not want to include. However, after playing for awhile, it was lacking for me. Its too manufactured. It has everything and nothing all at the same time. I, then chose to go with IS because it had a clear vision towards historical accuracy. It is also planning on incorporating some of the best possible features that anyone will want with a MOD. It is also not shallow,... it has a depth-ness compare to Darthmod similar to what a 'point by a number' painting is to a Rembrandt work of art. To claim it is "get your feet wet MOD" ignores the central fact that both MODs take decidedly different approaches to the degree of depth- ness. No one that "loves" Darthmod will appreciate MODFs like IS, APE:TI, European Wars etc,.... they all take very different approaches (European Wars is more like IS than not).
I agree with one thing,.... You can switch... I did... and I did it for greater depth- ness and not for a lighter experience.

Nuada have we any idea when IS2 will be completed?
IS2 has potential, I would like x2 unit sizes like Darthmod, and will probably get around to doing it myself.
FREE THE NIPPLE!!!
Well, IS2.1.3 is out now (just follow my sig).
The IS Team are working their way towards IS3, but I think we can expect at least one update of IS2 first.
As you might imagine, it is hard for them to promise a definate date, so like you I eagerly await the news of the next release.
In the mean time please enjoy IS2.1.3!![]()
Is there anyway to make Canada an actual faction and be a major power (maybe replacing the 13 colonies...) and if so how could be done ?
Make it emerge and then edit your savefile so that it is listed as major?
Quebec = Canada?
Not sure, don't know much about Canada.
Download this if you want Quebec playable.

I did a campaign of Quebec![]()
Hey guys, I'm trying to sift through all these mods that are available (quite a lot ay?) and I can't for the life of my process which ones let me play as just about any nation in the game?
Any help?

I'm assuming this.
My favourite part of empire total war is not battles, but building up a strong economy. Usually as Prussia, with whom I focus on a strong industrial economy, or Britain, with whom I build a trading empire.
But I'm wondering if there are any mods out there that make the economics a little better, more complicated, with more features, etc.? Other things I'd like are a better AI (campaign map not battle) but my main priority is making the economics more complex. Most mods seem to focus on battles, which doesn't interest me greatly.
Thanks in advance.
I second this, Im also interested in economical structure. I love the science though, there is so much to learn! But I wish they could create more buildings as well.
my advice would be to ditch TW and play Europa Universalis III
