    Default Flemish Pikeman

Hi, I've got a campain as Scotland and anhilated the English, Teamed up with Irish against France.. While sailing the Brugge (Controled by France) it rebbeld.

I besiege and attack..but lost dramaticly !! 4 Units of Flemish Pikeman slayed my entire army

Are they overpowerd or do I just suck ?

Pikemen are best dealt with at a distance. Archers are great although I'm sure with pikemen being closely massed together and that they move slowly they would make a nice target for siege engines.

    lets see
    Don't forget to have archers
Another idea is to take a spy with you and a unit of light cavarly.
use your spy and if the spy manages to penatrate into the city then try to besiege Bruges. If the spy manages to oen the gates it will be an easy win for you. When a spy opens the gates the defenders are competely unorganised so send quickly the light cavarly to capture the city. When the cavarly reach the cental square, the pikemen wil begin marching toward your cavarly in the cebtral square.Meanwhile you can bring you forces into the city and...this is the end for the Pikemen

That's not pikemen being overpowered: that's the AI being smart and using its units wisely . That's exactly what I would've done if I was defending there. Pikemen can be very effective in sieges when your lines of attack are much less than in an open field battle. Next time you should bring some catapults and make your own entrances (pikemen do not like being flanked) or bring some ladders/towers and get some archers up onto the walls.

Why not siege them until they sally and attack you in an open field battle outside the castle?

The most effective way to terminate these types of units is to draw them into an open area, engage them with light, expendable, infrantry then smash them from behind with calavery. Trying to fight these troops when they have a defensive position will prove costly and frustrating for any skillful commander!

You don't have to wait that long, you could reduce your stack in front of the castle so that the ai thinks there is a chance of winning and attacks. That way you might also get an easy town center control win while the ai slaughters your forces in the field

I found those super powered rebel pikeman in random armies, they minced their way through 2-3 units of mine (light swords) and even down to the last man they didn't route!

Well all pikemen are overpowerd because they use only their main weapon,in normal Brittania campaign the pikemen were better they used the pikes for some time, yes they can decimate cavalry, but when the others got too close they used the secondary weapons.
