Does anyone know how to change factions in the campaign?

I'm playing as Venice and just took over the British and the United States just came in as a major faction. I was wondering if anyone knows how to flip factions.

Ya, I'm reading the emergent change as well so I will see if I can flip it from that editor.

I remember there used to be a way to do this from the console in M2TW to play as mongols. Sucks if they took it out

They took the cheat console out of Empires. If you want to play as the rebels of your faction, you can do so. Otherwise, nope. Closed, PM me if you have any questions.
