1.Load previous save (NOT AUTO)

2.Start a new Campaign and save your game on a seperate file for every 5-10yrs depending on what your comfortable with

3.Never load autosaves.

I followed that rule, delted the Creative assembly folder, and i havnt had a CTD, or major sound glitch since. 1750ish Sweden.

Which Creative assembly folder?

Same place where the savegames are stored.

The whole folder? Does the game recreate then when it launches? If not where do the saves and replays go (Vista 64bit OS, UAC off and Steam installed to my 'G' drive).

yes the whole folder, and yes the game recreates them and yes backup your saves. I started a new campiagn to test anyway.
