    Default Victory Conditions and Kingship

    First Question:

Is possible in MTW have a "or" victory condition? Because I as the Stark just conquered the North, Destroyed the Lannisters and Joffrey, but the stupid Tullys decieded to declare war on me. I had to anex them, because they would never accept a peace treaty, so now I can't win

IS there a possibility to have a victory condition that is something like: Allied with the Tullys OR control riverrun?

    Second Question:

What are the houses that can be came Kings? The ones from the book? Or everyone?

And what are the conditions to be one? (just waiting?)

    1. I don't think there's technically an "Or" condition but you could make two sets for certain factions. For example you could have one set for Stark that says "Conquer the north, destroy Lannisters and Joffrey and Ally with the Tullys" and another set that says "Conquer the north, destroy Lannisters and Joffrey and control Riverrun"

I also want to tweak the AI and possibly do some scripting that makes it far less likely for factions like Starks/Tullys and Lannisters/Joffrey to go to war with each other.

    2. Currently Joffrey, Renly, Stannis, Stark and Greyjoy are able to become kings. I think the only requirement right now is to have a Treasury > 20,000.

    2. That's not really true. (or maybe my campaign's just weird) I was offered kingship with considerably less than 20000 and told that it would take 5000 to become king. I've been in the red for most of my stark campaign and was offered several times to do random things like defend the north of hold a tournament for money. I paid for most of them(Don't know where i got the money) and when I finally came back into some money(sacking Oldtown did the trick 50000 dragons) I was offered kingship again.

This isn't really a big deal with me and I don't know if this is the right thread but... Every battle I autoresolve is either a clear victory of Clear defeat with very uneven results. like a battle of 1600 vs 1600 one army will lose 120 and the other 1100 or something like that and the battle odds will be like even. Like I said It's nothing major for me, but it does get annoying when I have to fight a battle myself just to reasonable losses.

Did someone say that For Stark to win they had had to be allyed with Tully? I guess I have to start over then. Lannister destroyed Tully early on.

One more question(sorry for long post). Why did two of the Jeoffry generals that I saw have the last name of Lannister after The house of Lannister was defeated by Tyrell?

that is, because joffrey does have 2 lannister generals(tyrion and jaime are not on the lannister side, but at joffreys)

Oh. thanks. I haven't read the series yet (though I want to). That really cleared things up for me. Is it still possible for me to win as Stark if Tully is defeated? I've met all the other requirements. What if I take the whole map? *gets excited and starts training men around the clock as well as going DEEP into debt*

These should be the conditions to claim victory(with kingship):
Stark - Control Riverrun OR be allied with the Tullys and control all of the north.

Tyrell - control all of the reach and have atlest 15(or 20. whatever you decide) provinces.

Martell - Destroy Joffrey, control King's landing, kill Gregor Clegane and keep Myrcella is alive.

Tully - control the riverlands, be allied with the Starks and destroy house Lannister.

Greyjoy - control and secure the iron isles and destroy at least one of the following factions - Stark, Lannister, Tully or Tyrell.

Arryn - Control the Vale and hold 15(or 20) provs.

Joffrey - destroy house Renly and Stannis and control the crownlands and make sure there are no other crowned kings in Westeros.

Lannister - Hold 20 provinces and destroy house Tully

Renly - Destroy house Stannis and house Joffrey and make sure there are no other kings in Westeros.

Stannis - Destroy house Renly and house Joffrey and make sure there are no other kings in Westeros.

We need to appropriate a CAI now.

"Five had been his brothers. Oswell Whent and Jon Darry. Lewyn Martell, a prince of Dorne. The White Bull, Gerold Hightower. Ser Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning. And beside them, crowned in mist and grief with his long hair streaming behind him, rode Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne."

This one works pretty well and might be fairly easily adaptable to this mod.

Funny, one of my ideas I was thinking about posting in my thoughts in the dev forum was tweaking the AI to make it more difficult for historically-allied factions to go to war with each other.

Because in my long running (125 or 150 turns) Stark campaign I'm having the same problem. Conquered the North (and the Iron Islands), wiped out the Lannisters to the last man (yay!), marched across Westeros and captured King's Landing after a fierce series of battles, and wiped out Joffrey's factions. But (i hypothesize) since I essentially have the Tully's bordered on 3 sides they refuse to make peace with me. Even when I throw them thousands of gold for no reason. If I just had a daughter to marry off to them...that's what I'm essentially waiting for I guess. A daughter to marry to their heir.

I think every faction should be able to declare kingship. Unless, of course, they are allied with the king on the iron throne.
