[PASSED 04/10/09] [Citizen] Musthavename (Patron: Coraline)
Client: Musthavename
About a year ago, all I was on this forum as the occasional lurker. I would pop in, read several AARs for a few hours, and then pop off the site again. These AARs showed me mods for the first time, something I’d never really looked into before. I put Stainless Steel on my computer and started playing. And after a while, it became apparent, I had to write an AAR.
I picked Lithuania, and I knew that to make it interesting, I had to do something unique. Hence, I migrated to Constantinople. An AAR followed about conquering the centre of Christianity and re-founding Paganism.

The AAR was a moderate success, and I enjoyed writing it a great deal. I lost out on third place in a tie-off vote in the very first AAR competitions which had just been started. I endeavoured to help in the creation of a unified AAR forum at that time, though my only contribution was weighing up advantages and disadvantages of the change.
Following the end of my first AAR, I immediately started on a second. This time, conquering the entire world with Aragon. However, this was more of a personal goal than a decent AAR. It wasn’t brilliant, and I didn’t feel great after writing it, but, it’s worth mentioning regardless.

Then, I set about writing what became my best known AAR. The Cuman Cake Confederacy. A comedy set on a ridiculous plotline of finding “The Holy Cake”. The comments in it far outweighed that of my previous two AARs, and I went on to win the September MAARC and achieve a Bronze Medal. Eventually, I finished the AAR just before the end of last year, and it’s now in the Scriptorium.

Two more comedies followed. One using Rome, and one finally using a different Medieval Mod, Thera. The Rome one ended prematurely due to save game problems, but the Medieval one has since been completed.

Both each won another MAARC competition, November and February respectively, granting me my Silver Medal. Meanwhile, I entered in several ToTW contests, winning ToTW 21. Likewise, I attempted to contribute to improving the competition by opening a discussion on the voting system, which can be found in the ToTW subforum. My most recent endeavour was immediately upon Empire’s release, where I wrote about the campaign and new features in my very first campaign. The number of views it got actually used the entirety of my image hosting bandwidth, something that had never happened before!

However, I realise AAR’s alone are not qualification for Citizenship. Although my other endeavours are limited, I do frequent the Debate Forums. Although I am by no means a serial debater, I do believe I am capable of intelligent and well constructed posts. In the Basement meanwhile, I quite often post on people requesting Laptops to play games on, as the community there tends to be far more concentrated on Desktops. Here are some examples of those posts.

Recently, I have also started serving as a local mod for the three AAR subfora, since Empire’s release. As for citizenship itself, I feel I am a logical and friendly person who could get involved in many of the processes on TWC. Regardless of the outcome of this request, I will endeavour to continue to write AARs and try to improve any aspects of the forum I can.

Dear members of the CdeC, I would like to propose , Musthavename, for the title of Citizen. I believe that he's definitely deserving of the title because of his contributions to the Total War AAR community. Good Total War AARs are a rarity to find nowadays, and I believe that Musthavename has displayed his impressive literary talents through his AARs (surely the Silver Medal that he has received attests to that?)
Musthavename also appears to be an amiable and conscientious fellow. He is respectful of his peers, and the majority of his posts are well thought out and developed.
He may not be a talented modder or debater, but I think his literary talents and good attitude should be commended.
I do hope that you'll find him worthy as well.
Thank you, and all the best.

I think this is a yes. He's a key player in the AAR community, written many good AARs, which is no small feat (I've tried various times to write a single AAR and failed miserably). He's a positive, enthusiastic user, a definite contributor to the TWC community.
