Default Russian Revolution came a few years early...

My whole empire just literally went on strike and rebelled in the space of 2 turns.

On a side note though the game has been a bit more stable with the Russian campaign. I don't know if it's the patch or the fact I havn't set foot in the ocean but it is very refreshing to not CTD every hour.

I was playing as France and trying to get a revolution, took out all troops in Paris, excluded everywhere from taxes except Paris, and made the taxes as high as possible and still no revolution.

It requires a lot of clamor for reform and industrialization to get a revolution. High taxes won't do it if you have anything to keep the population happy.

Oh yeah, a piece of advice...if there is a revolution, don't side with the rebels or you will end up in control of nothing except a quarter of a stack of militia.

Replace all happy buildings with schools, which create unrest more than any other building.

When I had my middle class rebel, they were very varied, with a 4 inch mortar, 2 regiments of horse, one line infantry and one militia infantry.

As France, I got a Bulkley's Regiment which I already had, so after the Revolution I had 2 Bulkley's Regiments. Which was nice.
