Default How do I find where my game folder is?

I've looked EVERYWHERE for this damn source folder but I can't find it. Can't find the App folder, its not in my Creative Assembly folder (only Rome), isn't in Program Files... it must be buried somewhere but since Steam eats the game icon I have no idea how to find where all these files are.

Can anybody provide me an easy way to know where I installed the damn thing to? I don't think I changed anything out of the original install, so I don't know what the problem should be.

That's the other folder - in there are things like your preferences or save games and replays.

The easiest way to find that folder is by typng in %appdata% in the run dialogue box (which can be brought up using the windows key + R).

Thanks, I've found it, but where exactly do I put the Darth mod? I can't find a 'scripts' folder like it says you need to in the pack. I just put it in the general folder. Will that work?

Did you download it from Steam or have you the discs and installed from them? Also what operating system are you using (it has a big bearing on the answer).

If you have a shortcut that will point to where Steam is installed. Within the Steam folder look in 'steamapps\common\empire total war'

Edited: Toshiba beat me to it. However, as it's Vista it's best to follow the shortcut path (even with XP you could have installed Steam somewhere else.

I've put the pack itself in the 'data' folder, so I'm sure that's right, but the other file, the txt file, the user_empire script thats like 1 KB and just says 'mod darthmod.pack' when you open it... that one, I've no idea where to put it. Does that one even matter? There's no substance to it unless there's somethere there I can't see.
