    Default Battle of Minden Re-Visited

One of the quotes on the loading screens is:

“I never thought to see a single line of infantry break through three lines of cavalry ranked in order of battle and tumble them to ruin.” Marshal Contades at the Battle of Minden, 1st August 1759.

In summary, a brigade of infantry (now known as the six "Minden Regiments") and two Hannoverian regiments advanced on the French lines following a misunderstood order. They were charged by no less than three cavalry formations and drove them all off with disciplined musket-fire before charging the French infantry lines.

Has anyone been able to replicate this feat in ETW?

    See links below for details:

"If you are the Sultan, come and lead your armies. If I am the Sultan, I hereby order you to come and lead my armies."
    - Mehmed II (the Conqueror of Istanbul) to Murad II, his father, before the Battle of Varna in 1444)

I dont think they AI has come at me w/more then 4 regiments of horse at any given time, besides maybe Native Americans, and those were generally mad-dashes at artillery. Regardless, those 4 regiments have never all gone after the same unit, though I suppose you could try it in a pre-set battle.

The french were backed by artillery too.

They mention that they advanced through a rose patch... perhaps they had cover from walls around it or such? Im not familiar with this battle.

And 14,000 odd dead... I wish we had battles of that size!

Very good work from the infantry considering the french cavalry refused to attack until it was too late, their commander was court marshalled over it even

I don't think you can get them that big but on multiplayer 4v4 is pretty huge
