One of the quotes on the loading screens is:
“I never thought to see a single line of infantry break through three lines of cavalry ranked in order of battle and tumble them to ruin.” Marshal Contades at the Battle of Minden, 1st August 1759.
In summary, a brigade of infantry (now known as the six "Minden Regiments") and two Hannoverian regiments advanced on the French lines following a misunderstood order. They were charged by no less than three cavalry formations and drove them all off with disciplined musket-fire before charging the French infantry lines.
Has anyone been able to replicate this feat in ETW?
