Tweaking Crusades

is it possible to tweak the crusade feature (calling a crusade) so it will work like the Jihad

here's what i want:

a general (if possible the king only) asks for a crusade (like imams do), and you don't need any aproval from the pope or whatever

i don't want to have the pope to aprove it, as in my mod he's not even going to appear in the campaign (that would by itself disable the crusade calling thing)

becouse i still want the original jihad in the game

but yes, i wouldn't mind having 2 jihads (though with some changes and with different name)

but i have no guess how to do it.. (what to script)

so that another faction will be the new papal faction

There is a 'papal' setting in the vanilla descr_sm_factions.txt, from what I understand you can move it to different faction.
