Default simple mod question - which folder has priority?

I have now begun using major mods, so have another folder in my mods folder besides Native. Do I have to make sure my previous, smaller mods are now installed in both of these subfolders? Or does anything in the root M&B folder take precedence over the mods folder? So a texture in the M&B\Textures folder overrides something in the M&B\Mods\(mod)\Textures folder? Or the other way around? Or something else entirely?

    Thanks!

\Modules\Mod\Textures folder overrides the Mount&Blade\Textures folder, but only for that mod. For example, Hundred Years War replaces the bg2 Texture file, so when you play HYW the background's different, but if you play any other mod it won't be. Make sense?

Definitely. That's what I assumed, but wasn't sure. Thanks nevhtuR.
