    Default State gift?

    I sometimes give State Gifts to please my allies or nations I want to ally with.

    You have three different state gifts: 2500, 5000 and 10.000.
    I've noticed that if you give a 2500 state gift it will increase ur relation with 100+. But if you give 10.000 it will give same increase rate of only 100+.

    It would be better if it was this in my opinion:
    2500 = 100+
    5000 = 150+
    10.000 = 200+

    Whats ur thoughts on this? Maybe another bug from the game?

    I hope CA or the modding community can fix this. There really should be a difference since 10k is really a lot of money, especially if you give it to a faction that has like only 2 regions.

    I wonder if CA has the talent to patch this feature? If they tested it once they would have seen its broken. So this is their best effort.

    They already have my money. Why would they fix this problem.....or the navel invasions or just the overall AI of the campaign? Its not like they have to. They are permitted to release a game with only a fragment of it working. They may as well move on the their next piece of crap.

    When companies do not support their existing product they lose their customers' future money.

    EA is that way with me. I don't buy their games anymore, too many years of always looking at the next flashy game instead of releasing ones that worked as advertised.

    CA has been pretty good historically with patching. They're not the fastest or the best, but they're good at it and they keep the communication lines pretty open.

    some people have said the effect degrades quicker on the cheaper state gifts (if you notice over the the state gift benefit deteriorates) but its really irrelevant because generally you only use it for the short term boost to secure an end anyway.

    How can it be a bug if it does what it says on the tin?

    The game has enough real bugs as it is, call it a design choice, but not a bug.

    Cash is not an issue for most skilled players (unless you play the unlocked factions mod and choose a tiny state in perpetual peril), and the AI diplomacy is already pretty feeble. Plying people with cheap tea sets is like diplomatic spamming Wal-Mart style.

    I have no problem with an expensive thoroughbred being 5,000. The issue is that a ship of the line costs less! Today's most expensive t-bred horse is worth around $75 million (USD). You couldn't get the front turret of a battleship for that.

    So you should look at gift prices as a % of military hardware or regional income.

    So...how much does a turret cost then?
