Crash after Naval Battle

Hey guys, every time I play a naval battle, I can get through the battle, but once the victory screen comes up and I click the check mark to proceed the game crashes, and not always to desktop, sometimes my video card fails entirely. I have tried multiple drivers, from 181.22 on up through and even the beta drivers. This happens no matter what settings or resolution I use. I am running Vista 64 bit, Core I7 920, 9800 GTX+ and 6 gigs of tri channel ram. The game was unplayable for me a few weeks ago, but the patches seemed to fix a few of the issues, but I just can't make it through a naval battle! I have nothing overclocked on my rig and all my temps are running normal when playing the game. I just can't figure it out. Anyone else have this issue?

im in the same boat i tried playing with lowest graphics and no sound at all no dice =(
