Apparently it's the name London galleries have come up with for everything post-postmodernism ,if you can imagine. It's a bit silly, but it's catching on. Does anyone have a thought about it?

It is absolutely stupid how all those kind of combo words annoy me like antidisestablishmentarianism which is better said as establishmentarianism. They should call it something else post-modern is an overarching term that covers so many different things that to call something post-postmodernism is the height of arrogance just call it something else like NueArt.

I think I read something about 'Altermodernism' a few weeks ago. I have to say I thought it sounded a lot like post-modernism, just with more emphasis on the homogenising of cultures into a 'global culture' aspect. I don't think it sounded different enough to be a useful concept - it seemed like a higher degree of post-modernism than anything.

Oh thank God, alternate modernism is dead. It's official that no on gives 2 .
    Good riddance.
