    Default will i have issues running ETW on this pc build?

    Im getting this pc built and was wondering if any of the components will have issues with ETW, are people who experience unstartable games have any of these components and relate them to having problems with ETW. thanks for your responses.


    • Windows XP Pro
    • Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem CPU
    • Intel DX58SO X58 Core i7 Motherboard
    • 6GB Tripple DDR3 1333 Memory
    • 1000GB Samaung SATA2 32MB Harddrive
    • ATI Raedon HD 4890 1GB VGA
    • Pioneer DVR-216 SATA DVD
    • Antec Nine Hundred TWO Tower
    • 700W CoolerMaster Ultimate UCP

    Any Suggestion as to what would be better or work together better would also be appreciated

    no should run great, my i7 w/ x58 does. Wouldnt recommend xp though, some peeps with the i7 had problems with that in conjunction with empire.

    Wow !!!!
    I can hardly see any trouble in ETW playing with that PC at ultra levels !!!! (... not considering troubles in the same ETW bugs)

    No you should have no problems on that rig. However, it does sometimes appear to be a lottery with the failures that some people have and others do not.

    I'd still like ETW to play with my GTX280s in SLI mode - I'm forced to play in non SLI mode or use old drivers. I did manage to get a Swedish campaign to 1826 though (it's probably still playable).

    @spaxspore, do you recommend xp 64 instead or vista 64/32. I thought xp pro 32bit would of been a safe choice, I am interested in your opinion. cheers

    vista 64, ive run xp 64 with my i7, vista 64 runs the best.

    Also i notice your going to have 6gigs of ram, Why do 32bit xp?

    I was going to have xp 64, wasnt sure weather or not to get 32, Think I will take your advice and use vista 64. Thank you Spaxspore.

    NP, hope everything works out well for ya. I7 is a monster proc.
