Default Tips on how to force a revolution?

A revolution occurs when a rebellion has succeeded in taking the capital, right? I'm just not sure how to force a rebellion in a capital where your people love you. I'm about to start a Swedish campaign, and I want it to become a Republic. I know you have to piss off the lower class, but except for raising taxes, emptying the garrison and starting industrial research, is there anything else? Can I attack my own buildings or something like that? Doing all of this will still have the lower class at green or yellow at best, I'd like to have it happen as soon as possible. I'd really appreciate some tips, thanks.

Besides building schools only in your capital area I think that is all there is to it, it just takes some time before they get really pissed at you. Another possibility is to get the worst ministers possible which decrease the lower classes happyness even more.

I wonder, when you already have a republic why would they continue to demand reform? Claim for reform should go away since there is nothing better to reform to (maybe they want communism?)

research purple techs in your capitol area, also set taxes in your home theatre uber high for the class you want to revolt. if you want to keep some rebellions down, might want to exempt regions. also take all troops out of our capitol as it helps the enemy if you side with the rebellion.

    All above plus:
    1. Send your armies into a war and keep losing battles. The public is happy when you win them so I suspect losing battles will make them upset (they'll want the war to end ASAP).
    2. Check your Ministers, since you're aiming for a republic, they'll be replaced by a new cabinet so it won't hurt (for a few turns) to install really crappy Ministers who have attributes likely to cause unrest. Examples are: "Amusing Cad", "Tax Farmer", "Harsh Reputation" and so on. These cause unhappiness for your lower classes.
    3. It's not industrial research that causes unhappiness - enlightenment / philosophy techs cause unhappiness to the lower classes. It's industrial buildings that cause unhappiness...
    4. And if you're truly truly desperate... demolish all buildings that affect happiness - Coaching Inns, Coffee Houses, Poetry Schools (sorry, I play the Ottoman Empire so I don't know the names of the Western buildings), even your Magistrate office (they grant repression bonuses).
    Good luck!

    Don't.

Show me one nations flag that looks better as a republic?
