Default Using the "insert" key for camera mode is COOL

I tried it on a land battle and love the first person views that you can toggle through which give you a perspective of first person from different men in the unit you select. Fun to skip around seeing what the soldier sees.

The sea mode has less to be desired: Why? Because you get 2 views only. You cannot cycle through to the captains's perspective or other crew....you are placebelow deck watching cannon being re-loaded and fired and it's cool but I WANT MORE.

I'd love to "see from the captain's eyes where he stands and be able to scroll around 360 degrees. Can this possibly be modded or effected?

Would be cool cool cool and if you haven't tried hitting the "insert" key, just click on the unit you want to go to and hit it and you're there.

I can't believe CA didn't mention the firstperson mode as a feature/selling point lol

I only found out about it on this forum!

If you scroll with the mouse wheel it switches in between men, and when they are firing by rank it moves you to the rank that is shooting. Cool stuff

Oh and the N key seems to give you a sort of zoom in with better graphics. After you hit it, all the vegetation the engine normally leaves out (stuff way far away) gets put in

The great thing about horse drawn artillery.. .when you look first person you are looking in the direction of the horse so you are looking 180 degrees away from where the cannon is pointing!

    Frederf,

Use the mouse wheel up and down to switch camera positions. Each unit has 2-6 positions.

Thank you sir. I was getting the impression that there were multiple insert-views per unit but I wasn't seeing how.

I was experimenting this and at an instance the camera moved real fast from the infantry I had selected towards the enemy they were firing at... As if following a bullet?

I was under the impression that for land units you could scroll through every single soldier in the unit. But maybe not.
