Sound Card or game?
While playing battles on ETW my sound does funny things. For example, when i zoom in on a unit marching or running, the drums and marching sounds cut out for a little bit and if i wait the sound almost resets and becomes very loud. And in most cases the drumming sound will cut out for the rest of the battle.
I've been reading alot of posts about sound problems people have been having but it only seems like its about sounding lagging during battls and on the GC.
ETW seems to be the only game ive had problems with atm, and all my music outside of ETW sound fine. I have an Asus Xonar DX sound card with updated drivers as well. If anyone has any idea what may be wrong or some advice i'd really appreciate it

Re: Sound Card or game?
There were numerous sound problems that that poped up after the March 25 patch, including sounds disappearing. Your not the only one, the same type of sounds go away for me as well. Plus there are even more people. It just takes the immersion out of the game. I've stopped playing until CA releases a proper patch.

Re: Sound Card or game?
Yea, ive been getting the sound lags as well on the campaign map and during battles since the last few patches. But ive also had the other problem since the release, that is why im curious if it could be my sound card.

Re: Sound Card or game?
Well I think both of us will have to wait until someone else answers that. Like you, I was having the marching and drum sounds go on and off since launch. But it wasn't as annoying since I could still here everything else. But lately all the sounds go on and off, and de-sync all the time.

Re: Sound Card or game?
Its not your card, its the game... Many people are having problems, many since launch.
I'm having problems on two different machines, one with an X-fi and one with built-in Realtek.
This game is a mess.... EIther hang in there or move on to a different game, but don't start wasting time or money working on your soundcard. Its not the problem.

Re: Sound Card or game?
Yep. It's the game. Like ohnoesaz, I've had the same problems on multiple PC's with different sound hardware.
