    Default Feature Transfer Error

    Hello,

I bought Medieval 2 last year, deinstalled it for the first time a few weeks ago and now, upon reinstalling, the process is interrupted after a minute or so by a message 'Feature Transfer Error' of the 0 pack thingy.

What can I do to fix this?

Could be many things. To start with check your dvds for dirt, scratches, fingerprints, etc.

What other software have you installed since you installed Medieval2 the first time?

Already cleaned the disk, cleaned the CD drive, so no dust problems.

Didn't install any software since I last played the game, so I'm quite confused

The only things that can cause an error like that would be a bad dvd, a reader dying, or the copy protection sees something it doesn't like.

Do you have any dvd burning software installed?

Nope, and if there's something somewhere that I don't know of, it was already there when I was able to play just fine.

So in conclusion, I'm probably dealing with a damaged dvd?

All else eliminated, I would say yes. It's the only thing left.
