CTD when loading battle

Can anyone help ?
My problem is that the game crash every time I try to load a battle (in grand campaign and even battle tutorial) but I can play grand campaign as long as I don't go in any battle.
I wonder if this is the "insufficient memory" problem.

I started getting the white screen of death during the english campaign around 1760. it repeatedly crashes upon reload unless you change some parameters to include not repeating the action that caused the crash. for me it was selecting a certain fleet in the caribean. i just ignored the fleet for a few turns and was able to get past that year. however, the bug does re-occur every other year or so. i think that it is a memory leak issue related to large, late campaign files.

Well, my computer crashes every time I try to enter battle not just a certain battle or army.

Happens to me too, running Vista on a core 2 quad. When i run on a core 2 with XP there's no ctd. I'm tired of this BS.

Has anyone found an actual fix for this. It happens for every battle for me, and it is only 1720 so none of that late game memory leak crap.
