and the map could have a lot of regions,

Now that really does have potential

Gaining experience would lead to upgrades, and ht eupgrade models would represent the creatures evolving. The generals would be pokemon trainers .... loads of fun!

If your gonna do a mod in hyrule, You'll need to think of a new scenario, as Link wouldn't be faction leader unless he's old enough to be king.... plus balancing would be an issue
