Armageddon Empires

Finest hex/turn-based strategy game of last year. Can't wait for Vic Davis' next game Solium Infernum, a Machiavellian politics simulator set in the gaming equivalent of Milton's picture of hell.

It's pretty hard to get into, since the interface is pretty unforgiving, but there's some excellent guides out there. Best thing to do is try the 30 turn demo twice. Once to fail miserably but start to grasp the concept. Second to work it out and realise how many potential strategies there are.

By the end of my 2 goes on the demo I had to buy it.

World of Goo is a lot of fun. Some goo structures are truly challenging and the realistic physics engine makes it even more challenging. A slight lean to one side can lead to the whole mess toppling over in a few seconds, and uber frustration.

RPG: Oblivion, Fallout 3, Baldur's Gate(haven't played it, but I really enjoyed watching my older brother when he played it, I was too yound to understand it at the time)
RTS: E:TW
FPS: Any CoD game(except 3, because I haven't tried it so I can't recommend it). Team Fortress 2 is also fun.
MMORPG: WoW(don't be hatin, mon.) I really enjoyed it even though I don't play it anymore.

Also, there's a store selling Mass Effect for 10 euros. Is it worth it? (sorry for slightly hijacknig a thread, wouldn't like to start another one..)

With Vista? Well, what game works with vista better than with XP? Not that damn many.

Get Crysis. Vista unlocks the highest end graphical settings.

The Witcher Enhanced Edition

The best RPG I've played since KOTOR 1, good gameplay, very thoughtful and adult storyline, it should keep you busy for at least a month.

I played the original game twice. The Enhanced edition is a spiffier version of the original, with a better soundtrack and graphics and load times. I love it!

Fallout 3, FarCry 2(great game, why does most people hate it?) portal, Spore, Cod 4, Cod WaW, Garrys mod, Warhammer Online, ETW, Oblivion etc. Nearly every game i install runs as good or better on my vista then XP.
