Farrakhan talks about Israeli lobby and the holocaust

WASHINGTON (JTA) -- Louis Farrakhan said the "Israeli lobby controls the government of the United States of America."

In excerpts released by the Anti-Defamation League of his annual Saviours' Day speech on March 1 in Chicago, the Nation of Islam leader also said Congress was "terrorized" by the lobby and doesn't "act for the American people that sent you to Congress, but acts for "the money and interests that have bought your soul.”

Farrakhan said Israelis are "liars, thieves, murderers" who have "taken the position of God" and are out to "kill everybody." He also appeared to question the accuracy of Holocaust records.

"You can’t even engage in constructive argument over the veracity of the figures of the Holocaust. We know something happened, sure, but you can’t talk about" it, Farrakhan said. "In certain cities in Europe they arrest you and put you in prison for denying such."

ADL national director Abraham Foxman said the speech was proof Farrakahn had not changed.

"After his near silence on Jews over the last several years, we thought Minister Farrakhan had put his long history of anti-Semitism and racism behind him, or at least had held his views in check," Foxman said. "Apparently that was wishful thinking. Once again he is clearly comfortable with putting his bigotry on display, unfettered and unhidden for his supporters and the world to see.”

This Farrakhan individual is really intriguing. How strong is his organization? I understand Michael Jackson asks for their help once in a while when in trouble.

His "organization" is nothing, Farrakhan is and has been for decades a discredited, meaningless racist. The only ones who listen to him are like minded people. Check his bio, he said the levees were purposely destroyed to kill black people, he has called judiasm a gutter religion, he has called jews, koreans and vietnamese people bloodsuckers for buying business in black neighbors, has said only thing white people are good for is lying and murder and that we arent yet human, we havent "evolved" yet.

That enough info for you on Farrakhan? He is pure hate monger, it is a shame his illness in 2002 didnt kill him.

First of all, IMO, Louis says a lot of things to pander to a certain audience. I don't think he's ever been interested in broad acceptance.

He said it, but he didn't come up with the idea. It came from the Story of Yakub.

I learned about a different version* than the one linked.

What I learned was that the Biblical account of the dealings between Jacob and Laban concerning livestock/wages (Gen. 30:32) was the source for the Yakub story.

Jacob is a shifty guy...you have to admit. From his earliest introduction he was portrayed as a thief and dishonest...
