Taking Paris CTD

Playing as Great Britain, 1734, a small stack attacks Paris on auto-resolve and defeats a bunch of armed civilians. Two seconds later, just as French armies drop dead, ETW crashes to the desktop.

I have reloaded the save game, and every time the game crashes at this point.

I then tried fighting the battle - same thing - victory - back to the campaign map - French armies begin dropping - and back to the desktop.

Is anyone else having problems with this?

i have the same problem playing as Sweden, in 1760s. Auto-resolve and take paris ---> crash. Fight battle and take paris ---> crash.

So - what's with Paris? Any theories?
