    Icon9 Wrong disk

    Hi,
    Just bought a new PC. Installed Med2 TW, them patches to 1.3, then Kingdoms Expansion Pack, then patch 1.5 of Kingdoms.
    After that patch, when launch I get "Wrong disk inserted" Please insert Med2gold.

    Before you ask, yes I have tried inserting "Disk 1"!

    A search on this error takes me to pages written by downloaders.
    BTW, I never did have the Gold edition, just the expansion.
    Any ideas?

    Was the patch designed for gold?

    If it was, Uninstall and then reinstall.

    You have the Gold Edition from somewhere or it wouldn't ask for it. The copy protection knows the difference in matching installs with inserted discs.

    Try uninstalling, deleting any trace of Sega, including the virtual store/Sega if you have Vista, run a registry cleaner to clean out its garbage, reboot to clean out the memory, and try to reinstall.
