    Default TAKE THE RAIN AWAY

I have a pretty good computer but every time I get in a battle on hard or very hard settings immediately the rain or heavy snow start and everything slow down or friezes. Can you guys just make it no so demanding on video cards or take it away all together .I’ll promise you nobody will miss it.
    Will you guys agree?

I have an 8800GT and I play on all Ultra, Rain or snow does not affect performance much..

Play on a Q6600, 4 GB, 4850 and all settings maxed out. Snow in particular is a major FPS drop, but then again never encounterd it in the campagne. And online I always choose nice weather.

I'll miss it. I say leave it in. It adds realism, unless of course generals on the battlefield were able to request preferred weather conditions?

The option should be there though to let the player choose if they're game encounters random weather or not.

I'm not sure about this, until percussion caps were invented firing a musket in the rain would have been very difficult. So the game should have alot more misfires in the rain until you research this tech.

What screen resolutions are you using? Leaving out that information is misleading.

I dont have performance problems. But I had a problem seeing my game when snow fell in southern India. I don't think snow is that common in southern India, and with dark uniforms on a dark desert very hard to see. Perhaps Pakistan got the bomb earlier than we thought and it was just ash.

I have dual core 6400, 4 gb ram, Nvidia 7900 Gto with 1 gb vcard memory. My specs are lower than yours, but I have no problem with effects. Battles run fine with high quality, naval battles are little slower but still ok - if I drop to medium quality. After I increased ram from 2 to 4 game crashes sometimes when I merge units and on rare occasions just after a battle.

The rain needs to be taken away just because your pc can't handle it?rofl!!

I like the weather system. But it does seem a little heavy handed. Seems like about half my battles are in the rain..which is annoying. Especially now that we don't have the option to wait before deployment.
