    Icon5 Unit formation?

What if you can change the formation of the troops?
I would like to change the type of training, I do not like to see the troops that are able to maintain a perfect training even when they walk or run.
Have you ever seen the Indians move on the ground in a perfect square?
    How can I change this?
And above all, I read that someone was able to add more than twenty units of the military.
    Can be done?
    Regards

Many people have asked this question, and I think that it is one of THE MOST important questions for modders to figure out. This is because it is not only vital to mods that require less organized units, but those that want to improve the game itself.

So far all we can really do is spread them out.

Maybe one could make half the soldiers in a unit invisible and not shooting, that way it would appear they stand in a random formation..? Just a thought...

This part I really doubt, if it is possible then wow. But that is in other total war games a dead on hardcoded no go.

Give it time, with each total war game CA always improves the moddability. As far as indians in disciplined forms I am sure that can be changed in time when we figure it out... if it's not that sucks.

Are you refering to giving them like a horde formation? Or possibly just a messy, ready to charge at any minute type form?

I'm hoping this time we can give infantry wedge formation. The reason is because that was actually more popular with gun infantry than it was ever with cavalry. I don't know why they stopped making wedge available for infantry after mtw1.

Wedge is still used in modern armies.

Have you looked in the files yet Joeroma?

Yes it is possible, we did it already. In fact, we solved that all the way back in the demo.(increasing the unit limit above 20 that is)

@Bazong, all that would really do is spread them out(which we can already do) and cause a ton of problems and complications.

There were threads on it all the way back in the demo modding era, you would have to dig them up.
