...Would I go to prison. Is the "Armenian Genocide" treated similarly to the Holocaust where it is illegal to deny it?

Isn't it the other way around, if you fail to deny the existence of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey don't you get prosecuted under Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code prohibiting "insulting Turkishness"?
Contrary to popular belief, stating one's belief that the events of 1915 were genocide does not automatically result in prosecution. Most such cases are thrown out because Article 301 simply doesn't apply. Many of those who are legitimately prosecuted (though not necessarily convicted) try to link their belief in the 'genocide' with whatever they are being prosecuted for to draw international attention to themselves, thus hopefully avoiding prosecution.
Hrant Dink's first conviction under Article 301, for instance, had nothing to do with his position on the 1915 events, but rather for his implying (intentionally or unintentionally) that Turkish blood was poisoned or tainted compared to Armenian blood. His point was about something else, but the phrase he used was prosecutable. That said, however, his sentence was suspended. The events of 1915 only came up afterwards when Dink made it a political issue, saying his conviction was implicitly because of his view on the historical dispute, and not on the actual case materials. Soon afterwards, of course, he made it an issue of freedom of speech.
The problem in Turkey is that people follow the letter of the law while regularly ignoring the spirit of it. Kemal Kerincsiz, the nationalist lawyer who often uses Article 301 to bring cases against Turkish intelligensia, regularly ignores the fact that this law is meant as an anti-defamation law, using it for his own political agenda. The vast majority of his cases are thrown out as a result, but not before they embarrass Turkey internationally.
Similarly, people who do actually insult Turkey and Turkish people, regularly circumvent the law by hiding behind 'freedom of speech', just as some do in Europe and North America (e.g., the Muhammed cartoons, or Wilders' Fitna - my own opinions, even though I'm not particularly religious). The difference is that in Turkey, people are well-positioned to take advantage of the biases against Turkey in other Western countries, Europe in particular. In the US you see people referring to the "race card". In Turkey you have the "the-evil-Turkish-state-is-oppressing-me-so-I-should-get-out-of-jail card".

That. But it isn't illegal to deny it, otherwise a lot of Turkish people who made their opinions about it public would be refused in Europe. It is frowned upon though.

Lol the other day over at taleworlds some guy called armenianamerican started a thread about the genocide and his boycot of all things Turkish, he had enjoyed the mount&blade demo but when it was time to buy the game he didn't want to because the creator is Turkish, he then wanted to know in light of the comming expansion if Armagan acknowledged the genocide and if he was going to apologise for it. If he would, he'd buy the game and the expansion, it became a ridicule thread and got closed as people started pointing out the sillyness of asking Armagan to apolagise for something he had no part of
It's illegal to deny the holocaust?

There are limitations to "freedom of speech" fortunately. Denying that the Nazis sent millions of people to death camps is a crime which can result in prison time.

Why not? I like trolls. They are cute and fluffy. When served with mayonnaise. Anyway, you won't go to prison for denying it. People will just feel superior to you.

Before I came here and met an absurd number of Armenians, I had no idea there was ever an Armenian Genocide.
I doubt that most people have heard of it anyway.
Guys please, I ask you kindly not to fall for this trolling thread title. Just take a look at the threads this user started. This guy is looking for cheap thrills on the internet, probably because he doesn't have a... well. Kemalraik loves trolling people by asking controversial questions (or putting his statements in "quotation marks" to get rid of the responsibility) that seem to be innocent, but usually result in members fighting with each other, because somebody was fool enough to answer his stupid question / react to his OP.
So be smart and please
