Well i never have to tax the turkish cities for a start since i trade with almost everyone right off the bat. Then you can choose if you want the european style units or the old style janissaries or both which adds to flexibility. While most nations have 6 eliteunits (apart from the generals) that inspire nearby troops turkey can make as many janissary musketeers as they wish which makes their lines hard to break....
