    Default Horde Script

    Hi guys,

    I'm making a horde script for the Kingdom Grand Campaign mod, but it isn't working.

    What I've done to test it:
    Get into hotseat mode, be scotland, demolish every building that builds military, disband every unit, get faction members out the cities.
    Than took control of Norway and took every single Scottish region, but nothing happened.

    And no, io file first didn't fix it.

    I've put the file in attachments, can someone help me? It's the only file ive edited btw.

    Your file looks fine and if your using the Kingdom Grand Campaign mod, altering io file first isnt going to be necessary, as that mod works pefectly well. For testing you only need to have a faction loose its regions, not destroy and disband everything. When you capture a factions last region there should be some loading as the horde units are created, these will likely move away from the area, so you may need a spy to find them with. Even if you cant see them you should know if its working with the diplomacy panel.

    I did that, I can't disband generals of course, I even left one alive, when I captured the last region, nothing happened, certainly nothing loaded.

    Can someone help me plz? I've suicided my factions a lot now and it isn't working!

    Please someone? The lose screen pops up when I suicide my faction, please help.

    Maybe it's this line?

    horde_min_named_characters 2

    Your faction only had one general.

    Well I tested this in SS, with the submod that gave me this idea named: all factions horde mod.

    They only had 1 general left when I took their last region

    Found the problem, I shouldn't have put in such late era units.
    Gonna fix it now.

    Ah, it might not work under these test conditions, both will count as human controlled and human controlled factions dont' benifit from the horde ability. Try making one faction weak through descr_strat and then wiping it out with another. Just give your faction a big army right next to their only settlement.

    I did it on humanvshuman and it worked.
    It was the late era units that refused to make it work, like Ritterbrüder
