    Default Kalmar union script

    Hi guys, I have a question:

    I'm making a submod for the KGC mod and I'd like to add the Kalmar union to it.

    Could anyone show me how to make a script which changes Denmark's name to The Kalmar Union? (along with the banner change)

    I'd also like to know which files I'd need to have in the data folder to let it work.

    I don't need the units to be added, ty!

    This is part of the Kingdoms Teutonic Script (campaign script in the world/maps/campaign etc... folder). You could simply copy it. You would also need all the appropiate files (banners etc.) in the right place; and you need a free faction slot.

    Yep. The Kalmar Union can't just materialise out of thin air. You have to declare it as a normal faction. Basically in the kalmar script a faction isn't created: all you're doing is giving everything a faction owns to another faction that is in descr_sm_factions.txt.

    Yes, that's basically the mechanics. I would not consider it worthwile unless you have a free slot that you certainly would never use. It's also pure cosmectialy. You could as well give the King of Denmark the two other crowns as ancillaries upon conquest of Sweden and Norway, and make a popup text that tells the player that Danemark is now to be considered the Kalmar Union.

    If you wish to grant them with new units and buildings you could also use an eventcounter that unlocks them in export_descr_buildings.txt when the requirements are meat.
