graphic ultra problem

heya all, first of all heres my specs, 2.6g quad-core processor, 3072 mb ram, ATI radeon hd 4800 series 1024 mb, still theres few places i cant select ultra, one of them i can but when i start the game its back to high again.

game prob or my spec prob?

Weird.. Do you have a 4830, 50 or 70? I have a 4830 with 512 mb and I can put all options on ultra, so I reckon there's a problem with the game. If you enter C:/Documents and settings/username/application data/The Creative Assembly/Empire/Scripts (that's for XP, don't know about vista, but it's in some documents folder) you should see a textfile in there, open it and from in there you can select what settings you want when the game starts, it's pretty self-explanatory once you've opened it.

particle effects always switches back to high for me. gets annoying.
