Perfect volleys?
Watching some player videos on youtube I'm seeing some perfect volleys (the entire rank fires as one). My soldiers, however, seem rather ragged in comparison
- at best firing in groups of 3-4 alternately along their line. In the campaign I've developed most my of drill tree, and in custom battles I've turned up elite troops' experience to full (the only modifier I can see).
So is it a graphics thing? My settings are mostly 'high', unit detail is on 'ultra'.

Re: Perfect volleys?
Are you sure they aren't using platoon fire instead of rank fire? Rank fire is what gives the effect of the entire rank firing, ducking to reload, then the second rank fires. Not too sure bit if small groups of troops are firing then it sounds like platoon fire (think thats what its called).

Re: Perfect volleys?
Well, it highly depends on what techs you've developed. Also it depends on the angle at which your fire zone contacts with the enemy, if your unit is turned almost away from the enemy and only a part of your unit contacts with the enemy - only a portion of your men if fire, and at least it'll be very unorganized.

What country? Russia? Ottoman? Some small nation?
You need to have good fire discipline, research and reload skill to see orderly firing.
