I cant play Empire at all now!!

before the 25th patch - after I used the insufficient memory wourkaround I had a dy or so where the game played 'normally' - How you'd expect a game that you'd shelled out 35 quid to play. After the 25th patch game now crashes on start up. I reinstall - game crashes randomly - now I cant load my campeign the game just crashes each time.

I have been a fan of the TW games since Shogun and a fan of the genre since lors on the Amiga but not since the Amiga days have I encountered so many crashes and bugs in a game.

It seems by getting into bed with Sega and Steam CA have sold out they're own fanbase

I had a problem with the game crashing on start up - I am sure it may have had something to do with either the 'insufficient memory fix' which meant the patch was broken or the fact that it did a download while I was playing the game. Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled (I have the disks and it takes less than an hour to get the game ready) re-applied the 'insufficient memory fix' problem. I was able to play the game for over six hours straight without a problem with about a dozen field battles and one naval engagement (I am playing Austria).

It's the most stable I've seen this game so far with my GTX280s in SLI mode.

The sound isn't quite right but I can live with that.
