Re: Problems identifying the DVD
Welcome to the forum.
As you can read disk2 (after the install has failed) there isn't anything wrong with the disk - so you can't take it back as faulty. There must be some problem with your PC.
I've been able to install my game off the DVD-ROMs without a problem (twice).

You can also copy data from your disks to HDD and start install from folder, if both disks are copied to same place it never asks disk change.
Worked for me more than once. Tho id go and change the copy for working one.

Re: Problems identifying the DVD
Ok.. Thanks, guys. The "install from hdd" sounds like a good idea. After it has installed the first DVD, though, the option: "play" came up on the autorun-menu, which, when pressed, apparently, downloads the remainder from steam. My internetconnection is
, so by the time itīs done cars can fly and you can live on the moon....

Re: Problems identifying the DVD
I had the same problem. Its not a problem with your computer.
The installer is just being a bit stubborn. I had to eject and reinsert the dvd several times while constantly hitting the "ok" button before the installer was convinced that the disc titled "disk 2" in my drive was indeed the "disk 2" it was requesting.
