Default Battle map editor...I think I found it.

That's right, I THINK I've found the file for enabling/disabling the battle map editor.

It's in the UI.pack under the Templates subfolder. I tried opening it with textpad, but got just several lines of unreadable data, HOWEVER, I did see a few strings that were in plain english, that seem to indicate that there are options for setting the editor's visibility.

    It's called template.battleeditor.luac

I also found one called utilities.luac in the main UI.pack/ui folder.

I tried pasting the code here, but textpad wouldn't let me.

luac = compiled lua and the only decompiler is for an older luac version meaning accessing it would be painful as what is in there is mainly operation codes.

i have decompled utilities.luac though did not generate pure lua scriptfile but got out all of the data included including hex codes. It does have a reference to battle editor. i can post decompiled utilities.luac if someone wants it. Most decompilers will not proccess Empire luac files because they are created with different bytecode. But i do have all the data

Sure, go ahead and post it. Maybe someone will figure out what to do with it.

I hope the Dev kit CA promised will include something for editing .LUA and LUAC files.
