Do a search for save_games and open that folder and you'll see your saves. I'm not exactly sure where it is in vista.

I use Vista 64bit. To fins the save games I enter %appdata% in the run program dialogue box which brings up a window with the Appdata\Roaming folder shown. The click on 'The Creative Assembly' then 'Empire' and then 'save_games'.

If you don't have a run dialogue box press the windows key and 'r' - that will bring it up for you.
